The Soho Center is a 38 year-old non-profit that helps large numbers of children and families regionally and nationally. We promote quality child care with a special focus on early children’s literacy, school readiness, and school success. Among other things, we give away thousands of children’s books to programs serving low-income kids. And we provide a variety of reliable web-based health, nutrition, and safety resources. Of special interest is the extensive children’s literacy section on our site that is routinely Google’s #1 hit (out of 1.5 million!) for “children’s literacy” (Try it!)
